Heart health is critical for a pet’s health

Similar to people, pets can have heart/cardiac problems that develop with age or are present since birth as congenital defects.  Many heart conditions are manageable, and our board-certified veterinary Cardiologists are dedicated to improving the quality and length of life for pets with heart disease.  Cardiology team members work closely with family veterinarians to develop an individualized health plan for every patient, and those in need of cardiac therapy can do very well with long term care.

Some heart issues can benefit from minimally-invasive interventional cardiology procedures.  These interventions may reduce the impact of a heart problem or provide a cure.  Our team members have played lead roles in developing minimally-invasive interventional cardiology procedures for pets, and our facilities offer state-of-the-art equipment and comprehensive diagnostic tools.  This ensures our Cardiologists can provide the most advanced therapies and procedures available to pets.

Delivery of excellent healthcare requires being at the forefront of medicine.  MedVet Cardiology has generated original independent studies and been a strong contributor to large multicenter national and international clinical studies for dogs and cats with heart disease.  This work has led to release of new cardiac therapies and enhanced understanding of heart disease in pets.  Our Cardiology Departments are consistently at the leading edge of cardiology care, research, and technology.

Common Symptoms of Heart Disease in Pets
