Anesthesia and Pain Control Services
General Anesthesia
Careful monitoring of patients undergoing anesthesia is done with high tech monitoring devices that calculate each patient’s vital signs. Modern anesthetic treatment plans often call for the use of a combination of injectable, inhalant and local anesthesia to ensure the com- fort of patients before, during and after their procedures.
Locoregional Anesthesia
A multi-faceted approach to anesthesia and pain management includes the use of locoregional, or local anesthesia. The administration of pain relieving medications to specific nerves or across a region of the body provides long-lasting pain relief and can reduce the amount of general anesthesia required during a procedure. Some examples of local anesthesia are:
- Local or Infiltration Anesthesia
- Intravenous Regional Anesthesia
- Peripheral Nerve (Plexus) Blocks
- Epidural and Spinal Anesthesia
- Regional Infusion Catheters
