MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets is pleased to announce the addition of Southeast Veterinary Specialists to its network of medical centers. This will allow us to better support the New Orleans community with the highest standard of emergency and specialty veterinary care.
Initially, Southeast Veterinary Specialists and MedVet New Orleans will continue to provide existing specialty and 24-hour emergency services from their current locations. In the coming months, we will complete work on an exciting new common home for the hospitals at 2315 Causeway Boulevard on the southeast corner of the Causeway/I-10 interchange. The increased space in our new MedVet New Orleans location will enable us to provide additional technology, including high-field MRI and CT imaging services, to support the delivery of the exceptional specialty and emergency care.
“We are very excited to be expanding our services in the New Orleans community,” said MedVet President, Dr. Eric Schertel. “Area veterinarians and pet owners have trusted MedVet New Orleans to provide emergency and specialty care for their animals. One of our commitments is to provide the highest quality and most conveniently accessible expert specialty and emergency care; so the acquisition of Southeast Veterinary Specialists and expansion of our New Orleans services was a natural move once the opportunity arose. We intend to expand the services offered while continuing to deliver exceptional patient care and client services.”
In addition to New Orleans, MedVet operates a network of eight medical centers in Ohio, Kentucky, Louisiana, and Alabama, delivering the highest quality and most compassionate specialty and emergency veterinary care. The Gulf Coast hospitals are locally owned and affiliated with MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets.
