Gain valuable experience as an Emergency Clinician Mentee while being paid to do the work you love.
MedVet offers an Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program through which you will improve diagnostic skills, learn treatment modalities, and gain a better understanding of the nature of emergency care. Mentored emergency shifts will gradually transition into solo responsibility, ultimately allowing you to incorporate into the Emergency Department schedule as a full-time clinician.
As an Emergency Clinician Mentee, you will be surrounded by individuals sharing your love of veterinary medicine and have the opportunity to deliver exceptional service and care to the patients, clients, and referral partners we serve.
In addition to mentoring and hands-on experience, you’ll receive compensation and benefits reflective of a full-time employee, including 401k, paid time off (PTO), health insurance, discretionary funds, uniform allowance, and more.
Program Duration: One year
Qualifications:
- DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-recognized institution
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of your program
- Employment interview with background check
- Two letters of recommendation from clinical faculty members with knowledge of applicant’s clinical abilities and communication skills
The Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program is designed for a veterinarian with a DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-recognized institution seeking additional training in Emergency care.
