Whitney White, DVM, MS is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Salt Lake City where she has been a part of the team since August 2020. Dr. White attended Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu, HI where she earned her Master of Science degree in Marine Science. She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine in Pamona, CA, followed by completing a small animal and surgery internship at VCA Animal Specialty Group in San Diego, CA.

Dr. White’s interest in veterinary medicine began when she assisted a marine mammal veterinarian with the care of stranded marine mammals in Hawaii. She enjoys the challenge of emergency medicine and likes providing a supportive and understanding environment during a stressful, unplanned period. Her clinical interests include urethral obstruction, fracture stabilization, and emergency surgery.

When not treating patients, Dr. White enjoys paddle boarding, hiking, spinning, hot yoga, running, and exploring the outdoors. She also loves spending time with her two Labrador Retrievers, Guinness and Yukon.
