Solene Moreton, DVM is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Silicon Valley where she has been a member of the team since January 2019. Dr. Moreton graduated from the University of California, Davis in Davis, CA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neurology, Physiology & Behavior. Following her undergraduate education, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS. At Pet Emergency & Specialty Center in San Diego, CA, Dr. Moreton completed an emergency and critical care focused rotating internship.
Dr. Moreton has a special interest in trauma and wound management, care of the septic patient, brachycephalic airway management, and ventilation therapy. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is seeing the elation in a family’s face that their beloved family member has recovered from a traumatic event. Whether its from a massive polytrauma or removal of a pesky nasal foxtail.
When not in the ER, Dr. Moreton keeps busy with her family. Before family life took over, she was an avid triathlete and completed a full ironman at Ironman Arizona. She now loves passing on her passion of the outdoors to her two sons, and exploring new trails to run with her husband and dog, Lula.
