Sarah A. Jones joined the MedVet Columbus team in July 2020 as a Veterinary Surgery Resident. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in East Lansing, MI. After spending time in both general practice and emergency medicine, she completed a specialty internship in veterinary surgery with MedVet Toledo in Toledo, OH, and a rotating internship with Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine, in East Lansing, MI. Prior to returning to MedVet, Dr. Jones served as a clinical instructor in emergency medicine at Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in East Lansing, MI.
Dr. Jones is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, the Society of Veterinary Soft Tissue Surgeons, and AO VET.
Dr. Jones has a special interest in critical care medicine, emergency surgical intervention, fracture management, reconstructive surgery, and wound management. She is passionate about serving others by improving the quality of life for their pets.
In her spare time, Dr. Jones enjoys swimming, biking, running, and backpacking. She has even hiked the entire Appalachian Trail.
