Rose Cherry Vogel, DVM, Diplomate, ACVO, is a Board-certified Veterinary Ophthalmologist at MedVet Cleveland West, where she has been a part of the team since 2020.

Dr. Cherry Vogel attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in River Falls, WI where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. She then earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Ames, IA. She completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Stillwater, OK and an Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Tennessee Veterinary Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.

Dr. Cherry Vogel has a special interest in corneal repair, cataract surgeries, and eyelid reconstruction. She has authored publications regarding the effect of attentional focus levels on spontaneous eye blink rate in horses, migration of retrobulbar wooden foreign body between diagnostic imaging and surgical extraction in a German Shepherd dog, and canine oral mucosa evaluation as a potential autograft tissue for treatment of unresponsive keratoconjunctivitis sicca. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is watching pets wake up from cataract surgery and being able to see their surroundings and families again.

When away from the hospital, she enjoys kayaking and hiking with her husband and spending time with Ranger, her Haflinger (horse).
