Mary Beth Hannon, DVM, CVA, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Mobile and MedVet New Orleans where she has been a part of the team since 2021.
Dr. Hannon attended Cornell University in Ithaca, NY where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree In Animal Science with a distinction in research in addition to earning a Bachelor of Science degree in International Agriculture and Rural Development. She then earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Hannon enjoys the pace and variety in emergency medicine, in addition to the adventure of practicing veterinary medicine outside of the hospital at special events. She has worked at spay/neuter/wellness clinics on Native American Reservations and in emergency and triage at the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Additionally, Dr. Hannon has traveled abroad for sterilization clinics and has worked an ultra-long distance sled dog race in Alaska. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is the opportunity to support the human-animal bond as well as witnessing the special relationships of pets within their families. Dr. Hannon finds joy in being there to help families through difficult and scary situations.
When away from the hospital, Dr. Hannon enjoys running, biking, hiking, competing in triathlons, traveling, reading, and spending time with her dog.
