Laura Russell, DVM, Diplomate, ABVP (Canine and Feline Practice) is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian and Veterinary Hospitalist at MedVet Asheville where she has been part of the team since 2019. Dr. Russell earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in Columbia, MO.

Passionate for all aspects of veterinary Emergency Medicine, Dr. Russell has a special interest in ultrasonography and pain management. She finds fulfillment in providing Clients the reassurance that their beloved pet will receive excellent around-the-clock care.

When not caring for her patients, Dr. Russell enjoys spending time with her family, reading and cooking.
