Dr. Brayley attended the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences in College Station, TX where he earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. He then completed a small animal internship and a combined Cardiology and Internal Medicine Residency at the California Animal Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Brayley went on to achieve double board certification by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in both Cardiology and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Brayley and his wife, Dr. Jenifer Lunney Brayley, moved to Houston, TX where they began Veterinary Medical Specialists of Houston. They then joined forces with Dr. William Daly of Veterinary Surgical Group to develop Bay Area Veterinary Specialistswhich is now MedVet Houston Bay Area.
