Krizia Santos Rodríguez, DVM, is Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet New Orleans, where she has been part of the team since 2022.

Dr. Santos-Rodríguez received her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from the University of Puerto-Rico in Bayamon, PR. She went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Public Health at the University of Puerto-Rico, Rio Piedras Campus in San Juan, PR. Dr. Santos-Rodríguez then completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in Baton Rouge, LA. Dr. Santos-Rodríguez was also the recipient of the Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program scholarship.

Throughout her training, Dr. Santos-Rodríguez has developed a special interest in emergency medicine and cardiology, hoping to pursue a residency and specialization in Cardiology. She enjoys a career in veterinary medicine because it allows her to advocate for animals and their wellbeing.

When not treating patients, Dr. Santos-Rodríguez enjoys exercising and a wide variety of outdoor activities.
