Kevin Molina, DVM, is a Specialty Intern in Veterinary Surgery at WestVet Boise, where he has been a part of the team since 2022.

Dr. Molina attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis, West Indies. Following earning his veterinary degree, Dr. Molina received a Certificate of Completion of Clinical Training from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO, and completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at BluePearl Veterinary Partners Georgia in Atlanta, GA.

Dr. Molina authored a publication for Veterinary Research Communications on the impact of mild to moderate obesity in dogs on routine hematological and biochemical profiles, echocardiographic parameters, and cardiac autonomic modulation. He has a special interest in small animal surgery, especially soft tissue surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, and wound management.

His favorite part of the veterinary profession is educating clients about the diseases afflicting their pets and working together to develop treatment plans, both in the hospital and at home, to provide exceptional veterinary care.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Molina enjoys cooking new recipes and exploring and traveling to new places.
