Kelsey Chereskin, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at WestVet Boise, where she has been a part of the team since 2021.

Dr. Chereskin attended the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, IL where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences as well as minors in Chemistry and Biology. She then earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in Urbana, IL. Following earning her veterinary degree, Dr. Chereskin completed an emergency and critical care internship at the Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center in Waukesha, WI. Additionally, she is Fear Free Certified®.

Dr. Chereskin has a special interest in pathology and immune-mediated diseases. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is determining the best appropriate treatment for a pet’s illness and finding relief for them.

When not in the ER, Dr. Chereskin can be found hiking with her dog. She also loves sharks and enjoys shark tooth hunting when she is at the beach.
