Katherine Dawson, DVM, Diplomate, ACVECC, is a Board-certified Specialist in Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care at MedVet Northern Utah, where she has been a part of the team since 2022.
Dr. Dawson attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Biology Education. She then earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in Saint Paul, MN. Following earning her veterinary degree, Dr. Dawson completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship, an emergency and critical care internship, and a critical care residency at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Ames, IA.
Dr. Dawson has a special interest in trauma, endocrine emergencies, and transfusion medicine. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is getting to see the bond between owners and their little buddies. When away from the hospital, she enjoys spending time outside with her husband, Matt, their two dogs, Beau and Yuni, and their cat, Scout.
