Julia R. Maitland, DVM is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian who joined the MedVet Cleveland West team in 2019. Dr. Maitland attended Miami University, in Oxford, OH where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology. She next attended The Ohio State University, in Columbus, OH where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She then completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery with the Michigan Veterinary Specialists. Following her internship, Dr. Maitland spent nearly ten years working at a specialty and emergency animal hospital in Cincinnati, OH.
Her favorite part of practicing veterinary medicine is working in an environment where emergency medicine can collaborate with various specialty services to provide the best care possible for patients.
When not at the hospital, Dr. Maitland can be found spending time with her husband and three young boys. As a family, they enjoy traveling, music and dancing, and sports.
