Jana Gerding, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Akron where she has been part of the team since 2022.
Dr. Gerding obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Malone College in Canton, OH, and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA.
Dr. Gerding has a special interest in critical care, chronic pain, shelter medicine, and trauma. Her favorite part of practicing veterinary medicine is the bond created with clients and then utilizing that bond to create the best plan possible for their beloved pet and the client themselves.
When not treating patients, Dr. Gerding enjoys camping, gardening, photography, and creating stained glass windows.
