Holly Dougherty, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian and Medical Director at MedVet Northern Utah and WestVet Idaho Falls. Dr. Dougherty earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences from Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. She then received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in West Lafayette, IN. As a new graduate, Dr. Dougherty took an immediate interest in small animal emergency medicine. She enjoys the fast-pace, unpredictable nature of emergency medicine, and lending help to families and their pets in their time of most need.
Dr. Dougherty is an Arizona native, and while she misses her friends and family in the desert, she is very much enjoying her new beautiful home state of Utah. When not busy caring for your furry family members, she enjoys her four amazing canine children “Jake, Little Jake, Pongo and Nacho” who give her constant companionship and love. Her hobbies outside of work include tap dancing, traveling, cooking, and gardening.
