Heather Lee Smith, DVM
Heather Lee Smith, DVM, is a veterinary intern at MedVet New Orleans and MedVet Mandeville, where she has been a part of the team since 2023.
Dr. Smith earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of New Orleans. She then received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Louisiana State University. She has a special interest in the areas of internal medicine, surgery, and diagnostic imaging. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is developing relationships with patients’ families and using her skills and training to provide the best possible care for their beloved.
When away from the hospital, Heather Lee Smith loves exploring the unique culture and history of her adoptive state of Louisiana.
