Christine Rees, DVM, Diplomate, ACVD, is a BOARD CERTIFIED VETERINARY DERMATOLOGIST® at MedVet Dallas, where she has been part of the team since 2022. Dr. Rees earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University in Ames, IA. Upon completing her dermatology residency at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, she became a tenured faculty Associate Professor at Texas A&M University (TAMU) in College Station, TX.

During her 13-year career at TAMU, Dr. Rees received an Excellence in Clinical Service award from the TAMU Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. One of her more prestigious accomplishments was her research on the merle coat gene that led to a US Patent.

Dr. Rees has practiced dermatology in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for several years. Prior to joining MedVet, she owned a private practice in dermatology/allergies for equine and small animals and later joined a specialty referral practice as a staff specialist.

Her areas of clinical interest are canine familial dermatomyositis, allergies, otitis, bacterial and fungal skin infections, endocrinopathies, equine dermatology, and new drug therapies in veterinary dermatology.

When not at the hospital, Dr. Rees enjoys biking, hiking, swimming, tennis, pickleball, skiing, and horseback riding. She shares her free time with her son, Michael, and their three dogs, Annie, Sasha, and Dover.
