Christine Anderson, DVM, MS, Diplomate, ACVIM (Oncology), Diplomate, ACVR (Radiation Oncology), is a Board-certified Veterinary Medical Oncologist and board-certified Veterinary Radiation Oncologist at MedVet Pittsburgh. She has been part of the MedVet Medical Oncology team since 2018.
Dr. Anderson attended the University of Notre Dame where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree and the University of Minnesota where she earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Following her graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Anderson completed a yearlong rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Colorado State University, followed by a three-year residency in Comparative Oncology and then a two-year residency in Radiation Oncology, both at Colorado State University. Dr. Anderson also earned two Masters of Science degrees during her residencies. After becoming board certified in both Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology, Dr. Anderson spent 12 years in Boston working at the non-profit Angell Animal Medical Center.
Dr. Anderson was drawn to Oncology during veterinary school because of the deep bond between her patients and their families and because of the ever evolving field of oncology. She enjoys educating her clients on their pet’s condition and helping them decide on the best course of treatment for both them and their pet. When not caring for patients, Dr. Anderson enjoys cheering on the Fighting Irish and shamelessly trying to get her children to do the same.
