Ayah Abdel-Rasoul (Simba), DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Dallas and MedVet Richardson Urgent Care, where she has been a part of the team since 2023.
Dr. Abdel-Rasoul earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Assiut University in Asyut, Egypt. After graduation, Dr. Abdel-Rasoul worked as a researcher at Animal Health Research Institute in Giza, Egypt. She was part of a research team tasked with investigating and developing plans to control and improve approaches to endemic and zoonotic diseases.
Dr. Abdel-Rasoul has a special interest in emergency medicine, surgery, challenging toxicity cases, and endocrine diseases. The most exciting part of her job is the welfare and improvement of her patients, interactions with patients’ families, and her capability to translate the prognosis and plan of care to them. Dr. Abdel-Rasoul chose a career at MedVet because she enjoys working with a team that delivers exceptional care and service to pets, their families, and referring veterinarians.
In her spare time, Dr. Abdel-Rasoul loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling, reading, and quiet time at the beach.
