Amy Oliver, DVM, is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet New Orleans and MedVet Mandeville where she joined the team in 2022.
Dr. Oliver received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Stillwater, OK. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), Florida Veterinary Medical Association (FVMA), International Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (IVECCS), and the International Sled Dog Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Oliver has a special interest in trauma, critical care, and sled dog medicine. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is the personal fulfillment that comes from getting to know each patient.
In 2022, Dr. Oliver volunteered as a trail veterinarian in the Iditarod sled dog race in Alaska. She plans to continue to participate every year, as it was the most rewarding experience she has ever had. When she is not attending to her patients, Dr. Oliver enjoys sled dog racing, fishing, and wildlife observation.
