Amanda Jurkoshek, DVM, Diplomate, ACVIM (Neurology) is a board-certified Veterinary Neurologist who has been part of the team at MedVet Cleveland West since 2019. Dr. Jurkoshek earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Mathematics from Mount Union College, and went on to obtain her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Jurkoshek completed a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery rotating internship at the University of Georgia and then completed a combined residency program in Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of Missouri and Veterinary Specialty Services.
While Dr. Jurkoshek carries an advanced knowledge and love for all aspects of veterinary neurology, she has a special interest in Neurosurgery. Dr. Jurkoshek’s favorite part about practicing veterinary medicine is helping animals regain mobility and independence following spinal cord injuries. When not caring for her patients, Dr. Jurkoshek enjoys playing soccer, spending time with her family, as well as country music and line dancing.
