Missy Jackson, DVM

Marion “Missy” K. Jackson, DVM is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet New Orleans and MedVet Mandeville where she has been part of the medical teams since 2017. Dr. Jackson attended Louisiana State University, earning both a Bachelor of Science degree in General Studies and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Following her graduation from veterinary school, Dr. Jackson completed a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery internship at The Animal Medical Center in New York City.

Dr. Jackson maintains an interest in all aspects of emergency medicine but is particularly passionate about fostering the human-animal bond. Her favorite part about being a veterinarian is being able to spend time interacting with clients and their pets.

When not treating patients, Dr. Jackson enjoys furthering her passion for the well-being of pets and the pet population through promoting the of adoption of shelter pets. She believes that if you adopt a rescue pet, they will rescue you 100 times over.
