Bridget O’Neil, DVM, is residency trained in Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care. She has been a part of the WestVet Boise team since 2022.

Dr. O’Neil attended the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, KS, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry with a minor in Math and Theology. She then earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS. After earning her veterinary degree, Dr. O’Neil completed a rotating internship in medicine and surgery at Mission Veterinary Emergency & Specialty in Mission, KS, and a critical care residency at Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists in Glendale, WI.

Dr. O’Neil has a special interest in electrolyte imbalances and transfusion medicine. In addition, she has contributed to a veterinary publication on the topic of anesthetic hypothermia. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is the interaction and helping of beloved pets and their owners. When not at the hospital, she enjoys hiking with her dog, going to the movies, puzzles, traveling, and exploring new places.
