Katherine Virostek, DVM, is a Specialty Intern in Veterinary Cardiology at MedVet Cincinnati, where she has been a part of the team since 2022.
Dr. Virostek attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. She then attended The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Columbus, OH, where she earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Following earning her veterinary degree, Dr. Virostek completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at Regional Veterinary Referral Center in Springfield, VA.
Dr. Virostek has a special interest in small animal cardiology, particularly congestive heart failure, congenital heart disease, and novel drug therapy for heart diseases. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is establishing relationships with families and working with them to provide the best care for their pet.
When she is away from the hospital, Dr. Virostek enjoys playing volleyball and the trombone, and spending time with family and friends.
