Angela Joergensen, DVM is an Emergency Medicine Veterinarian at MedVet Dallas where she joined the team in 2022.
Dr. Joergensen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from Tarleton State University College of Agriculture and Natural Resources in Stephenville, TX. Dr. Joergensen moved to Iowa where she earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the College of Veterinary Medicine Administration at Iowa State University in Ames, IA. She is also Fear Free Certified®, in addition to being certified in the Reassessment Campaign on Veterinary Resuscitation (RECOVER) Initiative.
During her time at Iowa State University, Dr. Joergensen worked in general practice. In 2020, she worked in emergency medicine where she quickly fell in love with helping patients with a variety of medical conditions and the ability to connect with many specialties to support the patient’s care. She has a special interest in toxicology and radiology. Dr. Joergensen’s favorite part about veterinary medicine is using what she has learned to help pets feel better and get back home with their families.
Dr. Joergensen has a French bulldog (Dwayne) and a cat (Lilith). When she is not spending time with her pets, she enjoys learning new skills, hiking, and paddleboarding.
Dr. Joergensen is part of our Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program (ECMP), which is an accredited program providing the opportunity for veterinarians to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to be an exceptional emergency clinician.
