Sheena Sanil, DVM is a Veterinary Neurology and Neurosurgery Resident who joined the MedVet Columbus team in July 2019. Dr. Sanil earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. She completed her internship at the VCA Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver, CO.
Dr. Sanil has special interests ranging from degenerative myelopathy, brain tumors (specifically gliomas), and cervical spondylomyelopathy. She believes that pets have a way of finding the people who need them the most and filling an emptiness we do not even know we have. As a veterinarian, she provides a voice to animals who otherwise can’t tell us what they are thinking, feeling, or when they are uncomfortable or in pain. She loves each and every one of her patients and helping a pet’s family make the toughest decisions about their pet’s health and quality of life.
If she isn’t practicing veterinary medicine, you will most likely find Dr. Sanil playing tennis, painting, or visiting the beach.
