Vice President of Experience

Elizabeth (Betsy) Knudsen serves as Vice President of Experience for MedVet. She is a transformational leader responsible for providing strategic input and guiding the team on how to effectively design and implement evidence-based best practices, and to leverage technology to enhance the delivery of the MedVet Experience.

Prior to joining MedVet in September 2018, Betsy was with Health Scholars, Inc. where she served as Vice President, Client Services. Prior to this, she spent six years with Press Ganey Associates, Inc. where she was instrumental in the scaling of the Advisory client support model to address the needs of multi-state health systems. As Vice President of Advisory Services, she drove the evolution of client support to reflect integration of Patient Experience, Workforce Engagement, and Clinical services lines. Her earlier experience includes leadership roles at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

Betsy graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa with a Bachelor of Science degree. She earned a Master of Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas and a Master of Public Health from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. Interests include the Baldrige journey, process redesign, clinical microsystems, workforce engagement, and patient advocacy.

When not at work, Betsy enjoys travel, music of all types, and spending time with family, including three cats: Fluff, Cosmo, and Hercules.
