MEDVET MEDICAL & CANCER CENTERS FOR PETS RECOGNIZED FOR “VETERINARY EXCELLENCE” BY AMERICAN ANIMAL HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION (AAHA)

COLUMBUS, OH—Excellence. For MedVet clients, that simple, yet powerful word means far more than just “high quality.” It symbolizes MedVet’s commitment to providing expert, compassionate care for their family pet.

Now pet owners have another measure of MedVet’s quality of veterinary care: American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) referral accreditation.

MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets has recently achieved the highest level of veterinary excellence following a thorough review of hospital facilities, equipment, practice protocols, and level of service by the AAHA.

“MedVet is clearly committed to doing their very best,” says AAHA Executive Director Michael Cavanaugh, DVM, DABVP. Only the top small animal hospitals in the United States and Canada have achieved accreditation by the association based on more than 900 individual standards focusing on patient care and pain management, emergency services, individual specialty service protocols, diagnostic imaging, facilities, continuing education, and more. MedVet’s specialty medical centers in Columbus, Cincinnati, and Dayton are the first referral centers in Ohio to achieve AAHA referral accreditation.

“We voluntarily submit to AAHA’s rigorous evaluation standards,” says MedVet’s Chief Executive Officer John Kralovec, “We are very pleased to earn AAHA referral hospital accreditation this year in our Columbus, Cincinnati, and Dayton locations. We will continue to strive for continuous improvement in delivering exceptional levels of veterinary care and client service.”

AAHA is the only organization that accredits animal hospitals based on standards that go above and beyond state regulations. To ensure small animal hospitals are keeping up with profession standards and best practices, AAHA re-evaluates accredited hospitals every three years.
