Katherine A. Mix, DVM, Diplomate, ACVECC, is a Board-certified Specialist in Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care who joined the MedVet Dallas team in 2018. Dr. Mix earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. Following the completion of her undergraduate studies, Dr. Mix earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University in St. Kitts, West Indies. She next completed a Rotating Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Internship and Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care Residency at South Texas Veterinary Specialists in San Antonio, TX.
Passionate about all aspects of emergency and critical care, Dr. Mix has special interest in sepsis/SIRS, mechanical ventilation, traumatic injury, and toxicities. She greatly enjoys the variety of patients she cares for, as well as having the opportunity to provide owners more time with their pet. Outside of work she can be found spending time with her family, three miniature Nubian goats, boar goat, and dogs. Dr. Mix also enjoys making soap and gardening.
