Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation evaluates, diagnoses, and treats causes of lameness in working and performance canines, along with everyday pets. Rehabilitation focuses on improving the quality of life in animals suffering from debilitating diseases such as osteoarthritis and neurologic disease and helping an animal’s recovery after surgery.

Many pets benefit from sports medicine therapies to maintain body condition, help manage orthopedic or chronic disease processes, and achieve full recovery following a surgery or injury. In addition, athletic pets can achieve increased performance in competition events from individualized, sport-specific conditioning programs.

MedVet’s veterinary sports medicine & rehabilitation team understands the physical demands of working and performance canines and has the advanced training to help these dogs return to sport. Each individualized program focuses on injury prevention, as well as conditioning and maintenance programs, while working in collaboration with your pet’s primary care veterinarian.
